MASITE is happy to welcome 4 MPO leaders across 3 states to speak about different actions occurring within their MPO. We will be hearing from the executive director of WILMAPCO, Tigist Zegeye; the executive director of SJTPO, Jennifer Marandino; the Associate Director of Multimodal Planning of DVRPC, Betsy Mastaglio; and the senior director of planning at NJTPA, Jeff Perlman. Along with lunch and networking, this event will provide opportunities to ask these leaders transportation-related questions after their presentations.
Metropolitan Planning Organizations, or MPOs, carry out transportation-related policymaking and planning processes for urbanized areas (populations over 50,000). They cooperate regionally to make sure that transportation projects and programs are based on a continuing, cooperative, and comprehensive ("3-C") planning process.
